Shiree Kidron is an international vocalist, cantor and recording artist performing classical, world and Jewish music repertoire. She received her Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music in NYC and Bachelor of Music from the Rubin High Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. Ms. Kidron was praised by the New York Times as a “fresh and likable voice” for her performance of the title role in Louis Spohr’s opera Beauty and the Beast.
Ms. Kidron is a proud member of the Cantors Assembly and served as Senior Cantor of Bet Shira Congregation in South Miami and Associate Cantor at the prestigious Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City. She is currently the senior Cantor of Or Olam Synagogue in Manhattan leading services and performing concerts to full house crowds. Recent engagements include an appearance on A Voice of a Woman, an international music documentary sharing the story of religious female singers around the world, as well as solo performances with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra in Ukraine, the Ludwig Symphony in Atlanta, several appearances with the Pacific Opera group in Carnegie Hall and performing leading roles in operas and festivals throughout the world.
Shiree is the lead singer of the Sheba Ensemble, an innovative all- women Jewish contemporary music ensemble that tours worldwide, inspiring audiences with original and familiar repertoire in several languages. The ensemble recently released an album and has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Symphony Space in NYC.
Ms. Kidron has been teaching voice over the past decade both privately and as a guest artist giving several masterclasses at the Jewish Theological Seminary in NYC. Shiree teaches breath control, proper support, easy and healthy vocal projection as well as using great diction and singing with intent and passion.
