Scott Thomas Ferreira is a world-class guitarist, singer and songwriter based in New York City. He holds a bachelor’s degree in contemporary music and jazz performance from CCNY and studied under true legends including Ron Carter, John Patitucci, Wayne Krantz, Kenny Wessel and David Gilmore. His musicality and impressive technique has won him a well earned reputation in rock, funk, jazz and R&B circles. Scott can be seen and heard both as a front man with his original music and as a first-call guitarist and vocalist for recording and live performance. In addition, he arranges and produces for other artists.
Scott has been teaching private guitar and bass lessons professionally for 20 plus years in the New York City/Long Island area. He offers conventional 6 string acoustic and electric guitar lessons as well as extended range (7 and 8 string) guitar lessons. He welcomes students of all styles and levels of musicianship who wish to improve their skills in technique, site reading, theory, and fretboard knowledge. He makes the learning process enjoyable by presenting classic and popular material.
