Prizewinner in Jeunesses Musicales Violin Competition, and Canadian National Music Competition, Sarah Pratt-Parsamian enjoys a diverse and exciting musical career. She is a member of New York City Opera Orchestra, also performing frequently with New York City Ballet, and with the New York Philharmonic, with whom she has toured across the United States, Europe, and Asia. She has appeared as soloist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Stratford Symphony Orchestra, and National Arts Center Orchestras in Canada, and has given recitals and chamber performances across Canada and the United States, appearing at Stratford Summer Music, Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society, Bargemusic (NYC), Detroit Institute of Arts, and the British Art Museum in New Haven, CT. A graduate of University of Toronto, and Yale School of Music, Sarah also holds a doctor of musical arts degree from SUNY Stonybrook. She held a faculty position at Third Street Music school for over ten years; currently she teaches privately from her home in New York City.
